Jenny’s Kindergarten & Early Learning Leichhardt is a boutique centre in the heart of the Inner West. This landmark location provides premium education and care to 0-6 year olds. This is a unique Centre where the old meets the new, whereby the whole original cottage has been retained and we extended at the rear with a state of the art building. There is natural play environments with existing vegetation and plants that have been retained as well as the combination and addition of new creative outdoor play space.

Here at Jenny’s Kindergarten we believe in making the world a better place for the future. In order to make the world a better place Jenny’s Kindergarten have a number of measures in place to implement and encourage sustainability. Some of these measures include rainwater tanks to save water, solar energy to promote clean and renewable energy and led lighting to promote efficiency. Jenny’s Kindergarten have a large amount of natural play space to allow children to foster an appreciation of the natural environment. By implementing measures to promote sustainability we believe we can contribute in taking care of the air, water and land and those who live there.

Centre Director: Rebecca

My name is Rebecca and I am the Centre Director of Jenny’s Kindergarten and Early Learning Leichhardt. I have been working in the Early Childhood Industry for over 8 years and have been part of Jenny’s Kindergarten since 2017, where I took on an Assistant Director role and then shortly after, further progressed my career by becoming the Centre Director.

As I have a strong passion for caring for children and building great relationships with families, being in this role has allowed me to continue to strive to ensure all children and families feel a strong sense of belonging, confidence and happiness each time our families walk through the door.

A strong key aspect of my philosophy as an educator and director is that early childhood education is crucial in any child’s development and creating an environment that is supportive and engaging ensures that each child will gain the opportunity to reach their full potential!

Outside of the centre, I am a mum of two girls which has been the greatest gift given to me. We enjoy spending our weekends with our family and friends, exploring the outdoors, cooking, dancing, swimming, and going away on family holidays!

I am grateful to be a part of this community and I hope I can share my passion, knowledge and joy with all families and children. I look forward to building new and ever-growing relationships with all of the children and their families, creating a home away from home experience within Jenny’s Kindergarten.

Centre Director: Gabrielle

My name is Gabrielle and I am the Centre Director here at Jenny’s Kindy Leichhardt. Before stepping up into the role of Centre Director, I was the Room Leader in our 3-5 year's room. Overall, I have been working in the Early Childhood Industry for over 5 years and loved every moment of it. Since completing my Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, I have carried on to further progress my education as I am currently studying for my Bachelor of Early Childhood Education.

Throughout my years of being an educator, I truly believe that caring for children and helping them reach their developmental milestones is such a vital role to play in their lives. It was only until I began my role at Jenny’s that I really felt a part of something greater. Being so involved with the children’s learning and development and having such a fundamental program where you can truly see how meaningful their learning is, is such a rewarding feeling. Jenny’s Kindergarten Leichhardt is where I have grown and I call it my home away from home.

Since being the Centre Director of Jenny’s Kindergarten Leichhardt, I have strived to provide a premium and quality service for all families, children and staff. I am so lucky to be in this role and so fulfilled knowing that each family takes a great experience here at Jenny’s Kindy.

When I am not busy with the children here at Jenny’s, I enjoy:

Spending time with my family and friends
Cooking and baking
Going for walks with my dog

I truly believe that education is transformative and shares the children’s journey of self-discovery and change and that learning is enhanced in an environment where you feel a sense of belonging. I aim to deliver this environment to each and every child here at Jenny’s Kindy.

I am grateful to be a part of this community and I hope I can share my passion, knowledge and joy with the families and children. I look forward to meeting the families around the Leichhardt area!
